View Scope

To limit the amount of displayed tasks in the agenda, one may configure the preference viewScopeTasks. Only the first entries up to the limit are displayed. A limit of 0 (default) will show the entire list without limitation.

Note that this preference is only valid for the Today tab.

When using a collective criterion, counting is based on collections, i.e. a collection is counted as one task with regards to the view scope.

Integer 0 2 + -

To limit the list of displayed tasks based on a time range, one may configure the preference viewScopeTime. This preference indicates the hours up to which the mobile worker can view tasks in the agenda. Only entries up to the limit are displayed. The time range is determined by the current timestamp (now) plus the numbers of hours specified by the preference.

viewScopeTime
Type Default Value Example Android HTML 5
Integer 0 5 + -

Note that the Closed task always shows all tasks, regardless of a view scope limitation.

The preferences viewScopeTasks and viewScopeTime can be used in combination. If one of the limits is reached, the list will be limited accordingly.

viewScopeWorkingDays
Type Default Value Example Android HTML 5
Integer -1 3 + -

To limit the displayed tasks based on the mobile worker's present and future working days, the preference viewScopeWorkingDays can be set to a number of days accordingly. Only tasks scheduled on the specified number of days, having a defined resource work patterns and working hours, will be listed. If no resource work pattern is defined between today and 90 days in future, the resource is considered to work without any working day limitations, and the view scope is calculated on calendar day basis. The preference also can be set to zero (0), to disable the display of any tasks on today's and next days' agenda.

To completely disable this view scope limitation, delete the preference, or set it to a negative value.

See the server-side preference mobileDataIncludesResourceWorkPattern for more details on how to include resource work patterns in data sent to the mobile device.

The preferences viewScopeTime and viewScopeWorkingDays can be used in combination. If one of the limits is reached, the list will be limited accordingly.
